As a part of our comprehensive counseling program, I created a grade-level presentation aligned with ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors to be utilized towards a Recognized ASCA Program application. I collected grade-wide pre and post-test data to determine growth and specific needs for benchmark areas within study and organizational skills.
After identifying student needs through a school-wide survey, I constructed a group counseling 6-week program utilizing Hatching Results methods that incorporate ASCA mindsets and beliefs, lesson planning documents, as well as pre and post-data. Please see the attached file with self-created lesson plans for each session, evidence-based program research, action plan, results report, and lesson materials.
I created this lesson in an intereactive video format, so teachers would feel comfortable playing the lesson in their classrooms even if they did not possess knowledge or experience in the subject matter.
